Bramble Jam starts tomorrow night at Heirloom. We’re getting pumped over here. An abridged list of bands that we think you should be checking out follows.
Neo-grunge heroes Daylight. The absolute best live band in “the scene” right now, The Saddest Landscape. Jay-Z approved Poverty Hollow (formerly Suns). Calling it right now that this band is the next Front Bottoms - Tiny Moving Parts. Twinkle’s current saviors, Tawny Peaks. Hands down the best band in the “atmospheric emo” genre right now with an arresting live show to boot: gates. Richmond “college rock” / pop-punkers Sundials. Midwestern power-pop courtesy of Evan Weiss and Pet Symmetry. The grooviest of groovy rock from the nicest guy in New Haven, Jose Oyola and The Astronauts. Jammy math rock from your Berklee boys in I Kill Giants. And, of course, Old Gray. Cam Boucher is so hot.
More info on the entire fest can be found here. See you there.
